| Job Specifications: Objectives of Role + To implement industry best practice for all aspects of Design. + Design of transmissions and 2 speed drives using ProE wildfire. Key Duties/Responsibilities + Produce design schemes + Produce 3D models + Produce component drawings for both prototype and production manufacture + To liaise effectively with technical staff and suppliers + Participate in FMEA's and structured problem solving teams + Interpret and translate analysis into working designs Desirable skills: Qualifications Required Engineering Degree, Full UK driving licence. Qualifications Preferred Degree (>2.1) in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering Experience Required Minimum of 5 years experience in Automotive Powertrain Transmission Design. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and drawing tolerancing. Experience Preferred Experience of using ProE Wildfire 2 preferred although if other CAD systems have been used training will be given. PC/CAD Skills Required Computer literate - Microsoft Office. Physical Requirements Must be presentable and medically fit (including for regular air travel) Personality Must be confident in their Technical expertise and able to communicate effectively within their field. Able to work on own initiative, without supervision. Willing to search for solutions and be prepared to take measured risks to achieve them. | ||
