Job Description:
As the projects enter the interesting phase of co-development with the sales prospects, the role exists to join the test and development team.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

+ To Lead Test & Development work.
+ To plan & control Test work & specify instrumentation requirements.
+ The preparation of Test Specifications & planning of required facilities and resources to achieve successful completion.
+ To liaise effectively with technical staff through analysis of test results, preparation of concise technical reports and participation in structured problem solving teams.
+ To advise & provide support for technicians with regard to Build, Test & Measurement procedures and supporting documentation.

Qualifications Required
Engineering Degree, Full UK driving licence.

Qualifications Preferred
Degree (>=2.1) in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering

Experience Required
Minimum of 5 years experience of Automotive Powertrain Development including both Rig & Vehicle based transmission Test programmes. Structured failure analysis methods. Specification and use of instrumentation & PC based data acquisition systems.

Experience Preferred
Experience of testing automatic transmissions with electro-hydraulic control systems would be advantageous, but not essential. Design of experiments.

PC/CAD Skills Required
Computer literate - Microsoft Office. Knowledge of computer data and acquisition systems and analysis of test data (MS Excel).

Personality
Must be confident in their Technical expertise and able to communicate effectively within their field. Able to work on own initiative, without supervision. Willing to search for solutions and be prepared to take measured risks to achieve them.
