| This position is in the Transmission and Driveline team responsible for developing the calibrations in support of performance, fuel economy, driveability and quality objectives + To be responsible for concept to production implementation of the automatic transmission for a given vehicle programme. Duties involve in-vehicle calibration of all relevant Transmission Control System features e.g. Base Shift Scheduling, Manual-Mode, Sport-Mode, Quick-Step, Fast-Off, High-Altitude, LDS, Predictive Upshifts...etc. + Liaise with transmission suppliers and engine calibration teams in order to develop hardware and/or software enhancements, in response to evaluation drives. + Lead shift map development and control system supplier liaison + To be lead UK interface to China for resolution of system issues + Support climate test trips + Capable user of C, Matlab, Simulink, TargetLink, Canapé etc, able to oversee others and support development of future tools in the department Previous program application experience in transmission calibration, ideally 2 full projects Engineering degree in electronic or mechatronic or automotive control subject | ||
