| Our client, a leading Oil and Gas company is looking for an experienced Dimensional Control Engineer for a 12-15 months duration. Job Description: The Dimensional Control Engineer will be responsible for the following: During Fabrication Yard bid inquiry preparation and bid period -Validate specifications, generate scope of work per module, agree technical deliverable schedule (drawings, methods, procedures etc), and prepare/ assemble project dimensional control procedures. During Fabrication bid evaluation period - review fabrication yard tenders for compliance with bid requirements, prepare clarification questions; assist in preparing technical bid evaluations, equalization of bids and recommendations. Review fabrication yard DC procedures. A team player who will coordinate and communicate with all other disciplines within the Joint Venture and Client personnel. Contribute to the Weekly Report highlighting potential problems and problem areas including corrective actions. Provide input to and support the Overall Project Plan. Be actively involved in the Constructability exercise during FEED and into Detailed Design and with the Fabrication Yards when selected. Reports to the Fabrication Manager. Qualifications: To degree level or Chartered Engineering status with experience in modular design and construction, preferable LNG experience; JV experience with in a multi-cultural environment Assignment Duration: Willing to locate in Yokohama, Japan for an initial 12-15 months in support of FEED with a further 12-15 months anticipated to support Detailed Design during the EPCM Phase. The engineer would also be expected to follow the project through into the fabrication yards and eventually to the site in Damin.
