| A superb opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to work for a leading Aerospace company. Successful candidates will have a broad mix of Analogue and Digital design experience and held Senior/Principal level positions before. Primary Purpose To provide the conceptual and detailed design and draughting input in the field of electronic engineering, as appropriate, into engineering projects to meet the requirements specification. Secondary Purpose To support technical proposals and submissions and to provide an engineering input throughout all phases of the project, across core markets as required. Qualifications/Experience: Essential: - Engineering degree or equivalent with a extensive experience in the Aerospace/Defence (or similar) environment. Experience in the design and development of military, ideally aircraft, electronic equipment. - Will have held Principal level/Team Lead positions before Desirable - Experience in analogue, motor and servo control equipment. Outline of Job Requirements: Principal Tasks - To undertake the supervision of Design Draughtsmen, Senior Design Draughtsmen and Contract staff. To ensure the production of accurate, high quality work from these people and control the associated timescales and costs of their activities. - To improve, develop and control the Engineering analysis facilities and will also be responsible for developing the level of competency in analysis techniques in other engineers and designers. - To improve, develop and control the Engineering analysis facilities and will also be responsible for developing the level of competency in analysis techniques in other engineers and designers. - To undertake the checking of detail, sub-assembly, general assembly and installation drawings. - To create sub-system design specifications and interface specifications which decompose the customers requirements from the system level specification. - Where appropriate, to create stand alone specifications for sub-contracts which reflect the customer's and Client's requirements. - Preparation of schemes and provision of technical support for test programmes. To analyse test results and report findings. - To provide and maintain costing data in support of a project if requested to do so by the Project Leader. - To ensure that the design is qualified and satisfies the Contract Specification. - To undertake training of staff or other nominated persons if requested to do so by their line manager. - To carry out the above tasks working within the relevant Company Procedures - To produce quality work at all times. - To ensure the safety of both the design and working environment.
