Job Description:
You would be joining a vibrant and growing Development Planning team based in Sussex as a Transport Planner. The Development Planning Team has a growing portfoilo workload that provides transport advice to Property Owner on numerous presigious developments.

About the Role
You would be providing an important role in the production of Transport Assessments and Travel Plans, Accessibility Studies and Strategic Reviews. Experience in preparing & presenting expert evidence would also be useful but not essential. This would require you to liaise with clients, suppliers, and local authorities with regards to all aspects relating to the production of a project. As part of your role you would be required to project manage individual projects and provide technical support and mentor junior members of staff within the Development Planning team. You would be proficient in using and analysising data from the various Transportation software. As part of your input to the team and projects, you would be required to attend meetings and undertake site visits.

About You
You would be able to present yourself in a professional manner and be able to communicate your work clearly to others both orally and in the written form. You would have a good working knowledge of the necessary transportation software such as ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG and TRANSYT along with being able to manipulate drawings electronically. You would be competent in the use of Excel and Word and able to prepare clear reports and letters of the highest standard. In addition, you would also be required to use your numerical and analytical skills to manipulate data using spreadsheets. You would have a good understanding and working knowledge of the various standards and requirements to prepare Transport Assessments and Travel Plans, including the use of Manual for Streets, DMRB, etc.
