| A leading engineering company are looking for a Trade Compliance Manager responsible to oversee all trade compliance matters for all shipments, including customer clearance, export requirements etc. Job Requirements & Responsibilities Responsibilities: - Responsible to oversee all trade compliance matters for all shipments in & out of TSP-DCs (Echt, Chassieu, Barcelona, Letchworth, and Istanbul). - Support business on day to day inquiries on trade compliance matters from Customer Service, Purchasing, and External parties (carriers/brokers, internal customers-ADT). - Design and set formal procedure for customs clearance and export requirements for ISO standards, and audited as to compliance internally and externally. - Maintain and update ERP/MDI with correct and complete product details (HTS, ECCN, product spec) required for trade compliance. a. Required to liaison with underline SBUs & Purchasing to obtain required info. - Manage Dock team on the tactical operation of customs clearance and export docs. - Work in conjunction to International trade Compliance Officer)to implement and drive best practices on trade compliance matters. a. Act as interaction between authorities, lawyers, consultants to facilitate continuing implementation, development and maintenance of regulatory compliance and operational practice. - Manage the correct application of duty rates and applicable refunds, including duty recovery for re-classified items and products exported out of EU. - Liaison with local customs authority to obtain required product licensing. - Prepare, with outside counsel support, voluntary declarations for export control and customs non-compliances with regulation - Responsible for training/awareness of internal personal involved on export, import and trade compliance activities. - Responsible to manage Customs Specialist/Supervisor and its respective job responsibilities. - Report to Manager, EMEA Transportation & Trade Compliance. Requirements: - University degree, preferable on the area of Business Administration, Engineering, Legal, Supply Chain or related field. - Experience on trade compliance area, preferably experience in working with the Dutch agencies. - Knowledge of trade compliance practices and procedures (customs clearance, HTS codes, ECCN, C-TPAT, AEO, BTI, etc). - Working knowledge of transportation INCOTERMS. - Must be fluent in English and Dutch (written and spoken). - Proficient in Microsoft office. Experience with JD Edwards or Baan ERP systems are also a plus.
