| Instrumentation Engineer
Our client is seeking a dynamic and flexible Instrumentation Engineer to troubleshoot and resolve Test facility and instrumentation problems and concerns and also to support new installations.
The Role:
To troubleshoot and arrange resolution of Test facility issues to minimise facility downtime
To implement new facility and equipment installations
To provide bespoke instrumentation in line with project requirements
To carry out Test facility maintenance tasks
Requirements:
ONC or HNC in instrumentation
Ideally, a minimum of 3 years experience working in a testing environment
Automotive (especially engine) background
Knowledge of (preferably CP or DSG) dyno control systems
Knowledge of electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems
Knowledge of instrumentation calibration principles
Able to work from electrical drawings
Good fault findings skills
Able to develop simple electronic circuits
Able to research and understand new technology
Reasonable mechanical skills (bench work, metal forming)
PID tuning of control systems
Wiring fault rectification (soldering)
Basic CAD skills
Computer literate
Flexibility and adaptability
Self-motivated, able to work unsupervised
Team player with good communication skills | ||
