Red Hat Certified Engineer / Microsoft Certified Engineer. Professional Audio Visual Equipment experience. Secure Computing Equipment (Data Diodes, Cryptos). Knowledge of MOD or equivalent information system security architectures, procedures and process. Simulation technolgies such as: MaK Technologies VR-Link, RTI, Gateway. Computer Generated Forces. Communications Simulations - QualNet.

Duties will include installing and updating software, administration of system services such as ensuring data and applications are available for team use, organising licensing of software applications and maintaining a software inventory, maintaining the back-ups and ensuring an appropriate level of the up to date documentation and computing environment. Liaising with vendors to ensure systems are functioning and problems are fixed, working closely with hosts Systems Manager and Systems Administrator, working closely with networking requirements and security guidelines (i.e. LabNet). Operation of the Audio Visual System - Responsiblity to provide the team with complete independent operation of the complete Portal AV system as required by Facility Director, providing the key function of provision of the audio-visual system during demonstrations and experiments. Candidates must hold a degree or equivalent in Information Technology,Computer Science or Engineering preferred. Experience in Linux computer systems administration. Have a positive attitude towards learning new administration and operations skills of computer and audio visual equipment. Have an awareness of relevant hardware, network and security technology direction.
