| In the middle of a global recession my automotive Client has successfully won a major new project which can only be good news. There is an immediate and urgent need to staff up as quickly as possible for a production project in automotive automatic transmission development. Transmission Hydraulic Controls Engineer Target for Interviews: w/c 15th June Target Start Date: 1st July Objectives of Role > To implement industry best practice for all aspects of Transmission Hydraulic Control. > Lead the design & specification of key elements of the transmission electro-hydraulic control system, from concept through to production. > Lead hydraulic test and development activity Key Duties/Responsibilities > Produce hydraulic control schemes & layouts > Analysis of requirements to produce detailed technical specifications - key sub-systems > Support preparation of component drawings for both prototype and production manufacture. > Design of component test rigs > To liaise effectively with technical staff and sub-system suppliers. > Participate in FMEA's and structured problem solving teams. > Interpret and translate analysis into working designs. Qualifications Required Engineering Degree, Full UK driving licence. Qualifications Preferred Degree (?2.1) in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering Experience Required Minimum of 3 years experience in Automotive electro-hydraulic control systems Design, Test & Development. Design of experiments and test specifications Familiarity with manufacturing processes and drawing tolerancing. Experience Preferred 5-10 years experience of automatic car gearboxes electro-hydraulic control system design & development. Including for example, oil pumps, wet plate clutch & brake controls and lubrication & cooling requirements. Non automotive expereince will also be considered from either industrial or aerospace ?P based electrohydraulic control systems using proportional control valves.
