| RTR69070 Engineering Manager (metallurgy) £40000-£43000 + profit related bonus + BUPA + up to 9% contributory pension + relocation package + life assurance Opportunity for a manager with metallurgy knowledge looking to join a progressive blue chip organisation where you will lead and control engineering activities. This role would suit energetic and driven managers looking for a company where you can make an impact in driving the success of a plant. Established for over 50 years; they have a reputation for excellence, supplying a wide range of speciality solutions to pre-dominantly blue-chip clients. The company part of a large worldwide organisation with 35 plants worldwide. This is a secure move as they have recently signed several new contracts this quarter for energy projects in the both Europe and the U.S. You will be a key member of the engineering division, managing all customer and project based engineering. Management skills coupled with high energy and enthusiasm are essential for this role. This is an excellent chance to join a reputable company where you can progress your career and achieve results. The role: *Lead and control all activities of the manufacturing team, overseeing a team of f manufacturing/production engineers, ensuring that all business objectives are met. *Manage all projects ensuring successful customer delivery from cost estimating, purchasing, budgeting, quality control and the preparation of technical documents for Quality Management System. *Reporting to the Plant Manager. *Technical liaison and visits with customers during the development on their product. *Improvement projects to increase efficiencies and excellence in manufacturing. *High value / low volume production environment. The person required: *Engineering background. *Metallurgy knowledge. *From aerospace OR high value, low volume engineering background (rail, automotive, nuclear, petrochem, medical). *Financial understand and experience of managing budgets. *Minimum of an HNC, degree preferred. | ||
